Paradigm Shift?

Essentially our grades represent competence and only competence. Behavior and compliance tasks are NOT included in the grade.

We acknowledge than many of us learned in the traditional grading system (points, averages, and weighting) and it may be difficult to translate that experience to our evidence-based system. Here is how the traditional letter grades align with the idea of competency:

A+ = Highly Refined Competence in ALL skills

A,A- = Competence in ALL skills

B+,B,B- = Developing Competence a certain skill but competent in all others.

C+,C,C- = Developing Competence in all or multiple skills.

D+,D,D- = No Level of Competence in a certain skill

F = No Level of Competence in multiple or all skills
